Cumbrian Slate & Cedar Cladding Exterior Design

One of the defining features of this Brighton property is the contrast between the dark graphite Cumbrian Slate stone cladding at ground-floor level and the natural cedar cladding above. The combination gives the two-storey exterior a strong architectural character, with the texture and darker tone of the stone providing a visual base beneath the warmer natural wood finish.

Cumbrian Slate Installation During Construction

Photographs taken during construction show the Cumbrian Slate installation progressing across the ground-floor elevations while other elements of the new build were still being completed. Grenada Graphite was used to create a feature wall within the main entrance area, introducing a dark textured stone finish as part of the interior design. Although distinct from the Cumbrian Slate used externally, the graphite colouring maintains a visual connection with the darker stone elements of the exterior.
