Cambridge 8 Red Brick Slip Installation – Seven-Storey Seaside Hotel

Humber Construction & Landscaping completed the specialist brick slip installation for this substantial seven-storey seaside hotel project in Poland.

Cambridge 8 Red brick slips were used across the exterior to create a consistent red-brick façade on a much larger scale than a typical residential installation. The project demonstrates the use of brick slips not only for houses, extensions and individual feature areas, but also for substantial multi-storey commercial and hospitality developments.

Delivering brick slip installation across a building of this scale required careful coordination and consistent setting out to maintain the appearance of the brickwork across the different elevations and storeys.

Large-Scale Commercial Brick Slip Installation

Installing brick slips across a seven-storey hotel façade is very different from working on an individual residential feature wall. Maintaining consistent setting out, courses, joint widths and detailing across a building of this scale requires careful planning and an experienced installation team.

For this project, Cambridge 8 Red brick slips were installed across the exterior elevations to create the appearance and character of traditional red brickwork while forming part of the overall façade system.

Particular attention was required around windows, external corners and changes in elevation, where the brick layout needed to remain visually consistent across the different sections of the building.

The completed installation demonstrates how brick slips can be successfully used on substantial commercial and hospitality developments as well as residential properties.

The Completed Brick Slip Façade

Once completed, the Cambridge 8 Red brick slips provide the hotel with a strong traditional red-brick appearance across its multi-storey exterior.

The scale of the project makes it a particularly useful example of what can be achieved with a professionally installed brick slip system. The same principles of careful setting out, corner detailing and pointing that are important on residential projects become even more significant when repeated across a large commercial façade.
