Country 676 Weathered Brick Slips – London Commercial Interior

Humber Construction & Landscaping completed this specialist interior brick slip installation for a commercial premises in London, using Country 676 Weathered brick slips throughout the basement interior.

The architecture of the space made this a particularly distinctive installation. Rather than conventional straight feature walls, the basement incorporated curved wall sections, arches and structural columns supporting the ceiling, requiring the brick slips to follow and complement the existing architectural forms.

The weathered character of the brick works particularly well within this setting, helping to create an established, atmospheric interior while retaining the texture and appearance associated with traditional brickwork.

Brick Slip Installation Around Curves, Arches & Columns

The existing architecture of the basement was one of the defining features of this project. Curved sections, arches and structural columns meant that the brick slips needed to follow more complex forms than those encountered on a conventional straight feature wall.

Careful setting out was particularly important around these areas. Brick courses, joints and transitions needed to work with the shape of the structure while maintaining a natural brickwork appearance throughout the interior.

Country 676 Weathered was particularly effective in this environment. Its aged, characterful appearance complemented the basement architecture and helped create the impression of established brickwork rather than a newly applied decorative surface.

Creating a Characterful Commercial Interior

Brick slips can be particularly effective in commercial interiors where the wall finish forms an important part of the overall atmosphere and customer experience.

In this London basement, the combination of weathered red brick, curved architectural forms and structural columns created a distinctive interior with considerably more character than a conventional flat wall finish.

The completed project demonstrates how brick slips can be adapted to unusual interior architecture and used beyond standard residential applications such as fireplaces and feature walls.

Country 676 Weathered Brick Slips

Country 676 Weathered brick slips were selected for this project because their aged red-brick appearance complemented the character of the basement architecture particularly well.

Used across curved walls, arches and structural features, the brick slips helped create the appearance of established traditional brickwork while allowing the finish to follow the existing forms of the interior.

Through our wider group, we can assist with both brick slip product selection and specialist installation for residential, commercial and hospitality interiors.
